How It Started

EmbyWatch was launched on October 6, 2025, a few months after JellyWatch. Once JellyWatch had proven itself useful for the Jellyfin community, bringing the same experience to Emby was an obvious next step. Emby has a similar audience of self-hosters and power users, but its own API, its own ecosystem, and its own quirks.

EmbyWatch is not a port or a reskin. The Emby API behaves differently from Jellyfin's in several places (sessions, user management, plugins), so the app was rewritten around Emby's specifics while sharing the same foundation and quality standard as JellyWatch.

What It Is Today

EmbyWatch is a companion app for Emby server administrators and power users. It gives you a mobile dashboard to monitor your server in real time: active sessions, user activity, analytics, integrations, all from your Android phone.

It integrates with the usual self-hosted stack: Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Bazarr, Seerr, qBittorrent, Deluge, Transmission, SABnzbd, and more. The goal is the same as JellyWatch, a single mobile interface for everything that runs around your media server.

Both EmbyWatch and JellyWatch are maintained in parallel and share the same community on Discord. If you also run a Jellyfin server, JellyWatch covers that side.

Development & Community

EmbyWatch is free to use. A premium tier is available for users who want to unlock advanced features and support ongoing development. The project has no external funding, no VC backing. Every improvement comes from real feedback from the community, with feature requests and bug reports coming directly from Discord.
